How do I set up my HTTPS CNAME alias?
Setting up a CNAME alias within your StatusCast application allows you to use your organization’s domain in place of the default .statuscast.com. This feature is only available on some StatusCast plans and cannot be activated during your trial. To set up an HTTPS CNAME alias you will need an to provide StatusCast the corresponding certificate for the URL. Please refer to the steps below:
- To support your custom domain in both HTTP and HTTPS we will need for you to acquire a certificate and send us the .pfx file as well as the corresponding password/key. The .pfx file should contain the full chain of certs to work properly.
- In your DNS set the domain alias/CNAME of the URL to statuscast-san-live.azurewebsites.net
- Log into your StatusCast administrative account and in the /settings section enter your URL without the https:// into the CNAME alias option.
- Once your domain alias has been set contact us at email@example.com with the .pfx file AND password/key, and we will upload and validate it within the system.
